VIDEO INSPECTIONVideo Inspection is essential for assessing the condition of the pipe to determine if replacement is required. The camera is mounted on a self-propelled transporter and is remotely controlled from the TV truck. Camera controls also provide the ability to overlay alpha-numeric data on the video image to provide a great deal of information, including date, line ID and distance from the manhole. The image is transmitted to the truck and recorded on VHS tape or CD. At the same time, coded data is entered into a computer. When the inspection is complete, a data log containing a comprehensive pipeline profile and evaluation is printed to accompany each video.
