Septic Tank Pumping

Septic tank pumping is one of the most effective ways for homeowners to maintain their system. Proper maintenance of your system will help protect you from the headache and cost of repairing a failed system. The state recommends that a septic tank be pumped every 3-5 years depending on the usage and condition of the system. Below is a link to a usage chart that will help you see how often your tank needs to be pumped.

Our technicians will thoroughly inspect your entire system to make sure all components are working properly. This will include uncovering both ends of the tank, inlet and outlet. After both ends are uncovered the technicians will inspect the baffles and make sure they are in place, unclogged, and up to code. Before leaving the job the technicians will have you run water from all sources in the home to ensure drains are functioning properly.

Along with pumping we also recommend installing a filter in your tank. Septic tanks installed in the last 5 years were required by state codes to have filters on them. "The use of a removable, cleanable effluent screen connected to the outlet is strongly recommended".-US EPA Onsite Wastewater Treatment System Manual.

Outlet filters on septic tanks prevent solids from getting into the soil treatment system, protecting the most expensive part of the onsite system.
