LocatingMost people don't think about the importance of knowing the location of their drain lines and septic tank. This can be a costly misconception for any septic system owner. Before starting home improvement projects such as paving, a new deck, swimming pool, or even landscaping it is important to know the location of your system. Often when customers call
us to pump their tank or repair their system we find that
the access we need is under concrete or landscaping that is
not easily removed. This can be easily avoided by locating
all parts of your system and planning around them. Below are
pictures of a job where the lines and part of the tank were
paved over when the driveway was completed.
As you can see we had to cut holes in the driveway in order to repair this problem. This could have been easier and saved the customer money if the paving had been planned around the septic system. |
